Do rubber expansion joints require the installation of sealing gaskets?

Everyone knows that a sealing gasket is needed on the flange face during pipeline installation to ensure a leak-proof seal before the pipeline can operate. So, does our rubber expansion joint require a sealing gasket during installation? The answer is no. Common sealing gaskets include rubber seals and graphite seals. Our rubber expansion joint’s ball joint, after installation, effectively acts as a seal within the pipeline. The pressure exerted on the rubber ball joint by the pipeline increases, resulting in excellent sealing performance.
The construction of the rubber expansion joint determines its sealing performance. The greater the force exerted by the medium inside the pipeline on the rubber ring, the better the seal. Because rubber is a highly elastic material, the rubber ring has a pre-tightening force at the end of the pipe joint, preventing media leakage. Therefore, compared to other products, rubber expansion joints have significant advantages.
Installation of the rubber expansion joint requires minimal accessories. Simply align the flange with the pipe flange, insert the bolts, and tighten the diagonal bolts. It’s very simple and convenient, requiring no additional accessories, making it a very easy and quick product to use.
