Details Overview
Precision-molded single-ball rubber joints can also function as shock-absorbing pump connectors or expansion joints, absorbing piping movement.
Single-ball rubber joints are ideal for HVAC or industrial applications requiring flexible connectors to absorb axial, lateral, or angular piping movement. They also outperform braided metal connectors in absorbing vibrations and noise generated by machinery.
Single-ball rubber joints are precision-molded using a hydraulic press. The spherical design ensures that internal pressure is applied in all directions, distributing force evenly over a larger area. The spherical design acts like a free-flowing arch, reducing turbulence and elongation caused by pressure thrust.
These connectors are constructed with high-quality EPDM rubber tubing and sheathing, reinforced with nylon tire cord. Special elastomers such as neoprene, acrylic, vinyl chloride, and butyl are also available. Standard EPDM material is superior to competing neoprene connectors due to its higher temperature resistance and physical properties. The galvanized steel floating flange is recessed to mate with the rubber ball end of the expansion joint and can be easily rotated for faster installation.
Single-ball rubber joints are ideal for absorbing small stress movements and noise and vibration from machinery. The face-to-face dimensions of these single-ball connectors match the corresponding dimensions of spool-type expansion joints for easy replacement. This shorter face-to-face dimension means space savings in the piping system and ease of handling and installation.
Single-ball rubber joints are manufactured to meet or exceed the pressure, motion, and dimensional ratings of the Fluid Seals Association’s Rubber Expansion Joints division.
Sealing Information: When installing rubber expansion joints, installers are responsible for ensuring even bolt force distribution to provide optimal clamping force and prevent connection leaks. When expansion joints are installed in non-ferrous metal piping systems (such as PVC), it may be necessary to reinforce the mating flange to increase its rigidity.

For suspended water supply, use products above DN200. The pipeline must have a fixed support or fixed bracket, otherwise the product should be installed with an anti-pull-off device. 3. If the user uses a rubber joint, the corresponding flange should be a valve flange.
